Bergen Reilly, shot for UNRL.
How to shoot on location with athletes
1 - Small teams can be mighty. Troy with Game Face on the production, Parker Reil and Scott Pittock on grip, and Ty Dennis working with athlete management.
2 - Over prepare. I shot my three main setups the week before so I could let Parker and Scott know what settings we would be at. When it came time to shoot we were able to tweak the setup to make it better and not spend time getting the shot to a baseline level. Then Scott has time to add in some flags to help shape things a little more. Details make the difference
3 - Flex. After my planned setups I had flexibility to shoot extra shots with video and a few back of the napkin ideas. I brought the gear to be ready if we got the opportunity.
